Hello I'm Ginette, I do graphic design, art, illustration and surface pattern design.

Here on my blog you can see the pictures i've been making, stuff I've been up to and the inspiration I found in fun places like Whistler, Canada and Oxfordshire, England.

You can also view my portfolio for more of my design work, find out about bespoke wedding stationary and take a look at the cards and prints for sale in my shop.

These are some illustrations I drew for Bee.Watch - an app and website to promote communication between pesticide users and beekeepers.

The app also lets people quickly report bee swarms for local beekeepers to collect, as well as tracking the Asian Hornet.

Although some harmful insecticides such as neonicotinoids have been banned recently, there are still alot of chemicals which haven't been thoroughly tested for their effect on insects, humans and the environment. Particularly the combinations of multiple chemicals, often used for pesticide spraying. This should be the job of chemical manufacturers and governments to prove their chemicals are safe to use.

Pesticide users can go on the bee.watch app or website to alert local beekeepers, so they can close their hives and prevent bees flying into possibly deadly chemicals.

Here's a recent project I illustrated for lovely kid's brand Velveteen clothing. A sticker sheet featuring some favourite SS19 styles to create whole outfits including hair and shoes! With space for some colouring-in too.

Here is October and November in my calendar of the British Isles. Still finding lovely views and colours even in some very autumnal weather.

October sees some canada geese and boats at Days Lock on the River Thames, with local landmark the Wittenham Clumps in the background. Such a pleasant place for a ramble with Bronza age history and views of South Oxfordshire up on the clumps and a game of Pooh Sticks on the the river.

The November page features Portmeirion in North Wales. It is a glorious, colourful riviera style village in an unexpected place. Built by slightly wacky architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in the early 20th Century as a tourist desination and a whole lot of fun. I visited a few years ago and it was great, and so much fun to illustrate for my calendar.

Here's some more British summertime in the July and August pages of my calendar. The joy of the ice cream van at Glastonbury Tor and a cliff top walk on the Isle of Wight towards Sandown. Time to get reading about ley lines and Avalon and sacred geometry at Glastonbury Tor. I went on a really wonderful family trip to the Isle of Wight last summer so here's some holiday snaps of beach huts and fancy hotels and the like.

It's a bit chilly for springtime just yet, but hopefully the daffodils will be out soon. Here is the March illustration for my calendar of the British Isles.
