Some of my friends had a wonderful 1920s themed wedding on the very hot bank holiday weekend. I got involved with white and gold chalk pens and some vintage fonts to make some signs for the day.

I designed wedding invites, menu, table plan and order of service for my friends' beautiful sunny wedding in Kirknewton, Northumberland. They asked for lovely typography, a hint of 'french grey' (they took an excellent french holiday to buy their wedding wine) and to include some heather from the moors. I really enjoyed laying out some beautiful type and it fitted in perfectly ith their laid-back wedding full of creative friends.

After the wedding we visted Bamburgh Castle and the beach in the sunshine, Roughting Linn waterfall, a total hidden gem, and drove over the causeway to Lindisfarne.

Here is a whole suite of wedding stationary that I designed this summer. It was such a pleasure to work on, with lovely personal inspiration from the bride and groom with their British and Sri Lankan heritage and a love of vintage decor. Plus I got special info from their florist so I could include all the wedding flowers in the floral pattern! The brides family run the fantastic Loddon Brewery near Reading, so instead of table numbers they had different Loddon beer names for each table, a really nice touch. You can find more info on personal and bespoke wedding stationary designs right here!

Here is a screen print I made recently of a tranquil spot in my friend Lucy's garden by the river Thames in South Oxfordshire, it's the perfect place to sit with a refreshing beverage and watch the sun go down. I also used this on the front of a pretty wedding invitation design I have been working on for an eclectic outdoor wedding this summer by the river. This screenprint is available in my shop!

Here are some wedding invites I have been working on recently, fresh from the printers! The brief was; fun and modern, mint and coral, chevrons, no swirly fonts, and including a view of the beautiful venue. The couple have a house full of lovely mid-century modern style furniture and patterns, so I looked at mid-century design as inspiration for the chevron pattern and the illustration style. This was such a fun challenge and it's really exciting to see it all printed and ready to post.
